1.  Completely disassemble the machine
2.  Replace brakes and springs
3.  Replace bearings if needed
4.  Hard-wire heavy-duty power cord
5.  Laser align all heads and check specifications 
6.  Clean and lube all switches, pots and controls
7.  Posts treated with "Deoxit" rejuvenation protection for better electrical connections
8.  Reassemble and re-calibrate the machine with ATR tape

This service includes a 90-Day Guarantee for defects. If you need a shipping carton, we will provide it with a prepaid return label for your convenience.

Additional Charges will apply for any cosmetic or performance upgrades. All machines are inspected upon arrival and there will be an extra charge if capacitors or any broken or non-functioning parts need to be replaced. We will inform you of the total cost prior to beginning the job. If you decide not to proceed with the service, we will ship your machine back to you and you will pay only for shipping charges.

You can send your Technics, Pioneer 707 and some Sony reel to reel machines to J-Corder for repair. We will estimate the cost and contact you prior to beginning the job. We will inform you of the total cost prior to beginning the job. If you decide not to proceed with the service, we will ship your machine back to you and you will pay only for shipping charges.

Repairs include a 30-Day Guarantee for defects on the work that was done. We are not able to provide repair service on any models aside Technics, Pioneer 707 and some Sony models as we are not able to stock the necessary parts in order to honor our warranty policy.

Our improved tape guide feature is a vastly improved version from Technics' original static tape guide assembly. We use military spec washers, spacers and bearings. Our bearings are packed with non-conductive grease and all parts are made with 100% stainless steel. This greatly enhances the tape path performance, improves the fast forward and rewind functionality, and eliminates tape drag that is caused by the original static design. Also available as a DIY project, this performance upgrade is available on all Technics open faced reel to reels.

Properly functioning lifters are critical to extending optimal performance of your tape deck as they hold the tape away from the heads during fast forward and rewind. Technics' original tape lifter assembly offer a static arm that the recorded side of the magnetic tape rubs against. This causes wear on the lifter at the same time degrading or wearing away at your recorded music. Using military grade 100% stainless steel parts, our new assembly utilizes bearings packed with non-conductive grease. The elimination of drag adds many hours of life to your recordings and significantly reduces the possibility of tape shed.
